For 33yrs Cathryn Dodd has baked her home made Cakes in the warmth of her home, bringing to the table a variety of Cakes that she has created or designed herself. Being the eldest of 7 children, it was good to test them out on her siblings. Cathryn is now a grandmother to 5 grandchildren and loves nothing more than to make her grandchildren thier birthday cakes. Cathryn has made each one of her children their wedding cakes, which gave each wedding that personal touch.
Having started cooking at school with a wonderful cookery teacher, she gained the experience over time of having the chance to make her own recipes from and Ordinary sponge to a Malibu Cake, from an Ordinary fruit cake to that of a fruit cake that is designed for a celiac or gluten free Cakes. Cathryn tries to make any cake for many dietary requirements because she feels that everyone should have that special cake for their special day.
Over time many people have been asking Cathryn to make their family Occasion cake, from a birthday cake, Wedding Cake, Christening Cake, all kinds of Novelty Cakes. All her cake’s are made by hand, with fresh ingredients and all natural flavors and colours. Cathryn does not use artificial ingredients or packet mixes and likes to use as much free range products as possible.
Sometimes Cathryn is given a challenge to make a certain cake for a customer and she wonders where to start, but she never lets her customers down.
